I want to get married already!

or at least engaged. That would be  a start.

In other news, I am working at a uniform store (private school uniforms) and that's going well. The other day this lady came in and she wanted her daughter's shorts taken in and there was literally nothing to take in. Why do people wanna pay for nothing? Anyway, I also have an assistantship for next year, which means I won't have to pay tuition. I'll be the orchestra librarian. Fun times!

I'm reading all the harry potter books for the first time and I am loving them. I am on number four. My favorite characters are Hermione, Ron, Professor Trelawney and Dobby, oh and pigwidgeon - he's too cute! I'm a sucker for cute.

I've been watching the bachelorette and i think Graham Bunn is totally hot! If Graham Bunn were the next bachelor, I'd watch every episode.  Monday is the last episode, so I will definitely be watching. I have no idea who is going to win though.

update

I just finished a show called La Traviata  a week ago. I was in the chorus. The show was really good and our  costumes were really cool! In other good news, I auditioned for a scholarship yesterday from the Baton Rouge Opera Guild and I got one! Yay! That means I should have two roles next year in the shows. I only have one more year left in this program and then I'll be done, so it's not much time really. I am currently studying for my symphonic literature test. I have to listen to a lot of symphonies.

the state of things

so here's the state of things. my first semester sucked  b/c I didn't make that much progress singing wise, but the goo dnews is i'm finally figuring out at least, how to practice effectively so that should help. At least, now i'll improve instead of going backwards or getting stuck. I just figured out that i was too aggressive and i needed to go more slowly. In other news, I don't like it here much, but I'm accomplishing a lot in school so that's good. Baton Rouge isn't really my kind of place. It's too small towny without the small towny charm. I prefer a bigger city, or at least somewhere that has some kind of unique feature of some king. Besides, all the purple and yellow wears on my nerves. Anywho, I can't wait for tomorrw so I can practice some more.

I haven't written in a long time, but the school semester is ending so that is good! I have progressed a lot this semester and things are going well to a degree. I have an audition for a summer program this next Saturday in fort worth and then i will head home for the break to visit my family and michael and i am looking forward to catching up with a few old friends. I miss my friends from the elementary school so i hope to get in touch with a few of them and i might just visit the assistant principal there for pr purposes. Next semester i must get a part time job, so that should be exciting to be making some mula. I'm hoping to do either retail or office work of some kind.
I am really looking forward to the sweeney todd movie! Sweeney todd is one of my favorite musicals. I love the story and the music is amazing, and of course so are the lyrics as sondheim was a masterful lyricist. I hope the singing isn't too bad since Depp and Bonham-carter aren't professional singers, but i've the heard the acting is excellent. I saw Sweeney at Denton music Theater and they got some really excellent performers to play sweeney and mrs. Lovett. It was amazing! Their acting and voices were in tip top shape and the show was done very well. I hope the movie doesn't disappoint. I know sweeney is coming to houston in the summer, so if I'm in town i will try to see it.
